How to add a new Global Content Block

This procedure allows you to create a reusable content block that can be displayed in different areas of the website.

Procedure

1. Access the Global Content Blocks management section.

2. Click the button to create a new item (usually labeled Add New or +).

3. The editing screen will open, divided into two main sections: Content and Display Options.

Section 1: Content

Fill in the required fields to define the block:

1. In the Global Block Title field, enter a name that helps you identify the block (for example, "Summer Promotion Banner").

2. In the Type field, select the type of block you want to create.

  • Note: If you select the 'default' type, the Display Options section may not be necessary or visible.

3. In the Content text area, enter or edit the block's content using the visual editor.

Section 2: Display Options

This section defines how and where the block will appear on the site.

1. In the Display Automatically field, choose:

  • Yes: The block will be automatically inserted in predefined areas.
  • No: You will need to manually insert the block using its ID.

2. In the Display Order field, enter a number. Blocks with lower numbers will appear first.

Limit by Link

Use these fields to set precise rules about links (pages) where the block should or should not appear:

1. In the Show ONLY on the following pages field, enter specific links where the block should be visible.

2. In the Do NOT show on the following pages field, enter specific links where the block should not be visible.

Saving

1. Once all fields are completed, click the Save or Save Changes button to make the new Global Content Block effective.
