Why do it: View detailed metrics for each tested element within the A/B test report, including clicks, views, and reading time.
Procedure
1. Access the section listing the A/B test reports. Here you will find a table with the following data for each test: Title, Elements, Total Clicks, and Total Views.
2. Locate the report you want to analyze.
3. Select the desired report row from the main table.
4. Click on the View or Details button (or the corresponding icon, such as a magnifying glass or pencil) located in the toolbar above the table.
Report Details Analysis
Once the details page is open, statistics are divided for each element (variation) included in the test.
For each element, you will find the following aggregated information:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Number of views | The number of views received by the element. |
| Clicks per view | The average number of clicks per page view. |
| Average reading time | The average time that customers’ mouse/pointer spends on the content (expressed in seconds). |
Below this section, you will find two panels for deeper analysis:
Effectiveness
This section shows the effectiveness of the element relative to the total number of views it received. Percentages are calculated based on the total views of the element.
The following metrics are shown with a progress bar:
- Clicks: The percentage of clicks relative to views.
- Reading time: The focus time on the element (expressed in seconds).
- Number of reads: The percentage of people who focused on the element.
> Note: Metrics marked in green indicate that the element reached the highest value for that specific metric compared to all other elements in the test.
Web Tracking
If specific events were tracked during viewing of the element, this section lists them.
- Title: Web Tracking.
- Description: The number of events tracked during viewing of this element.
The success rate and total count are shown for each tracked event (e.g., formsubmit, videoplay, etc.).
