How to Configure
Creating or editing an article is organized into logical sections:
| Section | Field | User Description |
|---|---|---|
| General | Article Title | The main title of the content (required). |
| General | Slug | The final part of the article’s URL. It is generated automatically from the title but can be manually edited. |
| General | Publication Date | If left empty, the article is published immediately (if active). If a future date is set, the article will be scheduled. |
| General | Expiration | Date and time when the article will be automatically deactivated. |
| General | Category | Allows selecting one or more categories to organize the article. |
| General | Tags | Keywords describing the content, useful for internal search. |
| General | Show on Site | Toggle to activate or deactivate public visibility of the article. |
| General | Feature Article | Marks the article for promotion in specific areas. |
| Images | Preview, Main, Banner | Fields for uploading images associated with the article. |
| SEO | SEO Title | Specific title shown in search engine results. |
| SEO | SEO Description | Short descriptive text shown in search engine results. |
Automatic Integrations
The Blog Articles module automatically integrates with these systems:
- Automatic Scheduling: If a future publication date is set, the system automatically adds the article to the queue of scheduled operations to ensure publishing at the exact time.
- URL Management: The article's "Slug" is automatically appended to the main Blog page URL (if configured) to create a valid public link.
- Media Management: Uploaded images are saved and optimized automatically by the media management system, ready for display on the site.
- User Area: The system tracks the author of the article by linking it to the user who made the last modification.
Managing Articles in List
From the main articles management screen, it is possible to:
- Preview: View the uploaded preview image.
- Quick Status Change: Change visibility status of an article (Show/Hide on site) directly from the list without entering edit mode.
- Quick Access: Open the article in a new browser tab or copy its public URL for sharing.
- Filters: Filter articles list by Category.
