Edit an existing article

This guide explains how to access and edit an existing article within the content management system.


Editing Procedure

Follow these steps to update a blog article:

1. Access the Article

1. On the main screen of the Blog module, locate the article you want to edit within the table. You can use columns such as Title, Category, or Last Modified to help with your search.

2. Click on the article title or the corresponding row to open the editing screen.

2. Edit General Information (Tab "General")

Once the editing screen is open, you will be positioned in the General section.

1. Title and URL:

  • Edit the Article Title* field.
  • Edit the Slug* field (which defines the article's URL).

2. Content:

  • Update the Description (brief introduction).
  • Update the main Content*. If necessary, you can click on the link Use Visual Builder or Use classic editor to change the editing mode.

3. Options and Visibility (Right Panel):

  • Check or uncheck the box Show on site to activate or deactivate the publication of the article.
  • Check or uncheck the box Feature if the article should have a special status.
  • Edit the Publication Date and/or Expiration (if the article should be automatically deactivated).
  • Update the Category and associated Tags.

3. Edit Images (Tab "Images")

1. Click on the Images tab to access media file management.

2. Update or replace images using these fields:

  • Preview
  • Main
  • Banner

4. Edit SEO

1. Click on SEO-related tabs (usually labeled as "SEO" or with the language name) to modify metadata.

2. Update the SEO Title and SEO Description to improve search engine indexing.

5. Save Changes

1. Once all edits are complete, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

2. Click on the save button (usually labeled Save or Update) to apply your changes.

> Note: If the article is multilingual, make sure to use the translation icon (flag) next to fields like Article Title, Slug, Description, and Content* to update information in all active languages.
