A/B test

Within this guide, we will see how the A/B Test module works and how it is possible to create A/B Tests with Framework360.

What is an A/B Test?

A/B Tests are experiments where we test two variants; for example, this could involve testing two different Headlines of our Homepage to understand which one converts better.

Step 1: Inserting the A/B Test block

To test, as we assumed earlier, two different Headlines for our Homepage, we need to go to the main menu of Framework360 and follow these steps:

Website > Pages > Homepage

Once inside the Homepage, using Framework360's Visual Builder, we proceed to insert the A/B Test block into the section we want to test.

Once the A/B Test block is inserted, we proceed to define the various blocks to be tested within it.

Firstly, we give names to the different blocks and then through the Edit content button we go on to define the content of these blocks.

Once our test blocks are defined, the system will automatically rotate these blocks for display on our page.

To better understand, if we perform this type of test on a page that we are promoting, the first visitor who enters our page will see the first Headline, the second will see the second Headline, the third will see the first Headline and so on. This will allow us to understand which of the two Headlines will convert better, that is, which of the two Headlines makes our visitor more inclined to perform the conversion action we desire.

Step 2: View A/B Test Statistics

To be able to view statistics on user behavior received during the test, we simply need to go to the main menu of Framework360 and follow these steps:

Website > A/B Test

In this section, we will find a list of all the A/B Test blocks we have created. To view their statistics, we just need to click on the block of interest.

Furthermore, Framework360 to facilitate the reading of data marks each analyzed parameter with green for the block that has collected better results and with red for the block that has collected worse results.

Lastly, it is important to specify that if there is a goal from one of our Web Tracking projects present on the page where the A/B Test is being conducted, within the A/B Test data we might see how many times that goal was achieved with one block and how many with the other. If you want to learn more about what you can achieve with the Web Tracking section, I invite you to consult the dedicated guide by clicking here.
