This guide shows you how to set an exact and fixed expiration date when assigning a membership to a user via an automation or marketing action.
Prerequisites: You must be on the editing screen of a marketing automation action (for example, the "Assign or remove membership" action).
Procedure to Set the Fixed Expiration
Follow these steps to configure the membership assignment with a specific expiration date:
1. Operation: In the field labeled Operation, make sure the Add option is selected.
(Note: it is not possible to set a fixed expiration date if the operation is Remove).
2. Select Membership: In the Select Membership field, choose the membership plan you want to assign to the user.
3. Membership Duration: In the Membership Duration field, select the Set option.
(This option will make visible the field for entering the fixed date).
4. Expiration Date: The Expiration Date field will appear. Click this field to open the datetimepicker.
- Select the exact date when the membership should expire.
- Set the exact time (the required format is day/month/year hour:minute, for example
31/12/2024 23:59).
Once these steps are completed, the membership assigned through this action will automatically expire at the specified date and time.
