This guide shows you how to select the field type for an advanced attribute, such as a free text field, a checkbox, or a file selector.
Selecting the Field Type
Procedure:
1. Access the settings section of the "Advanced Attributes" plugin.
2. If you are creating a new attribute, scroll to the bottom of the existing fields list and click the Add Field button.
3. In the field block you are configuring, locate the Field Type label.
4. Click on the dropdown menu and select one of the following options:

| Input | A simple free text field. Requires setting a Placeholder. |
| Number | A field that accepts only numeric values. Requires setting a Placeholder. |
| Textarea | A multiline text field for longer input. Requires setting a Placeholder. |
| Checkbox | A checkbox (Yes/No). Requires setting a Placeholder (which serves as the label for the checkbox). |
| File | Allows the user to upload a file (single image). Requires setting a Placeholder. |
| Selection | A dropdown menu with predefined options. Displays the Accepted Values field (where you must enter options separated by semicolons, e.g., Red;Green;Blue). Requires setting a Placeholder. |
| Image Selection | Allows the user to select an option by clicking on an image. Displays the Accepted Values field (where you must upload images via the media selector). |
5. After selecting the Field Type, configure any additional fields that appeared (such as Accepted Values or Placeholder).
6. When finished, make sure to save your changes.
